The Girls Reach Milestones

The girls now know how to roll both directions. Well, not Evie because she is so huge! They are strong and playful. They are not behind developmentally at all!

They have begun the teething process now & they love gnawing on everything - toys, bottles, & our fingers! They are a little crabbier, but it is only the beginning!

More Danger?!?

I don't want to make fun of SIDS, our old neighbors had their first son die of it, right in his daddy's arms, not in a crib or other reason (made up reason in my mind). Anyway, we think a lot of the precautions are silly when you look at how the belly/back sleep thing has been going back and forth for years, two of our girls LOVE sleeping on their bellies, they have been since they were 2 mo. old. The other loves her face pressed tightly against that awful dangerous crib bumper.

There was some worry on a certain grandma's part at first but when this is what it takes for them to start sleeping throught the night at 3 mo. we figured we'd take it. We put it in God's hands and we, all five of us, got and still get plenty of sleep.

The WONDERFUL Jumper!!

Olivia and Evie are really taking a liking to the "jumper". That nifty spring loaded seat that hangs in a doorway. Some people think they are dangerous and you are a bad parent for putting your kids in them. Stacey's own mother was quite concerned every time she heard a noise out of the thing the other day. See, our girls jump so hard and high they completely relax the spring and get slack line. It makes a noise but those things are pretty fool proof, as far as we're concerned. And hey, they love them and will sit in them for hours. Besides what is a bruise here or there?

Sometimes they even fall alseep in them. See Olivia below

Sophie doesn't do much in them but she loves her minime gear and her swing.

I have Laryngitis (or something)

Whenever she tries to "talk", yell, laugh, or cry all that you hear is a hoarse wheeze. I laugh everytime I hear it and Stacey gets mad at me. I guess I do feel a bit sorry for her but it doesn't seem to be bothering her except for her "smoker cough". Sounds like a lung coming up!

Well, the other two will probably be getting it next so for a while we may only have 2/3 the typical noise in our house. So I guess that is nice!

Stacey did take her to the Dr. on Wednesday and she tipped the scales at a whopping 16lb 4oz! She gained 2-1/4 lbs in one month! She IS a LOAD!

(This is Evie for those who weren't sure)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! (late, can you imagine?)

Here are some Christmas time photos. The smaller kid in the picture on the right is Ross and Bethany's new baby Lilly (pad) Marie Hopkins born 12/20. Picture was on her couch on 12/23. Apparently she finds her cousins very boring. But you can be sure they will show her a thing or two by this time next year!

Saturday it was 55 degrees when we got home from our last Christmas party of the year so we put the girls in turtlenecks and jeans and took a walk around the neighborhood.

(Happy Ron?)
