Olivia Comes Home!!

Brad and Stacey brought Olivia Kay home to join them on Wed. August 23. She finally decided to eat all of her bottle, 38mL (just over 1oz.) without the help of tube feeding. After being home for a couple days she joined her sisters in eating about 43mL at each feeding. Upon returning home Brad and Stacey gave Olivia a bath right away, she was getting a little stinky :)

This past Friday, they took the girls to the their appointment with the pediatrician, the first trip together as a family in the Mini-Van!

The girls weighed in at:
Olivia 4 lbs. 14 1/2oz. back to her birth weight
Evie 4 lbs. 15oz. weighed with a very full diaper :)
Sophie 4 lbs. 7 1/2oz. she came home at 4lbs 3oz, doing great!

The girls continue to eat every 3 hours around the clock. Stacey and Brad are able to get some rest with the dedicated help from family and friends.

A new personal record for Brad was reached this weekend--he slept in until 10am on a Saturday morning!!!! If you know Brad, this is quite unusual. :)

More photos and updates coming soon!!

Evie & Sophie come home!!

After a short time of training at the hospital, and an even shorter recovery time at home for Stacey - Two of the girls came home Saturday August 19!! They looked so tiny in the carseats. Sophie was too small to ride in the carseat, so we had to buy a "carbed" to take her home in. However, she is so long that her head hits the top!

The nusery was ready to go when they came home, so we layed them right down to sleep in their cribs. Oh how timy they looked in them!

We are having a great time as a new family, but we are also sad as Olivia isn't home with us yet. We prayerfully wait for her day to come home!

They're Here!!

Well the time finally arrived at 8:36 last night.

Olivia Kay - 4lbs 14 oz - 16.9" long
Evie Lyn - 4 lbs 8 oz - 17.3" long
Sophie Rae - 4lbs 4 oz - 18.5" long

They came into the world quite fast, I think. Stacey had been uncomfortable for about 24 hrs or so and the Resident had checked her at about 6:30 and she came back in at about 6:45 and asked if we wanted to have our babies tonight. They had us on the way down by 7:00, Stacey was in the O.R by 8:00, they made the cut about 8:30 and she was sewn up by 8:50. It all happened quite fast!
They are all doing stellar and so is Stacey.

We are requesting that anyone who would like to visit wait until Tuesday, and also to call first. Stacey should be coming home Wed or Thurs and the babies around the 25th (that's their guess right now)

Back to School?

I am sitting here watching T.V. and I notice all the back to school ads. It gives me a weird feeling. This is the first year in 22 years that I am not getting ready to go back to school. You see, I was always one of those kids who got excited about buying school supplies. That's probably why I became a teacher! Now I am going to be busy with three baby girls instead of setting up my classroom. Wow! What a change!

Sorry I haven't updated my blog in awhile. I haven't been feeling the greatest this week. I think it might be all the weight I'm carrying : )

The Girls are Ginormous!

The weights of the babies today are as follows:
In the light weight category... Baby A weighing in at 4 lbs. 9 oz.
In the heavy weight... Baby B has passed Baby C in weight, weighing in at 4 lbs. 12 oz.
Baby C is holding her own... weighing in at 4 lbs. 10 oz.

That's right folks, 14 lbs of baby!!!!! I don't walk anymore... I shuffle.
Come out girls! Come out! Times up!

Seven Weeks

I have been in the hospital for seven weeks now. As I look back at my time here I reflect:
  • You know, no matter how boring it gets here and how sore I get, it still beats my first trimester when I was horribly sick!
  • The summer of 2006 will always stay in my memory as "The Summer that Wasn't."
  • I have learned how many people care for me as they made the trek(s) up to visit me, sent me cards, sent email, or commented on my blog.
  • I am sick of wearing pajamas! However, I probably have more pajama days ahead of me!
  • No amount of uncomfortable days can stop me from doing whatever I can for my girls! (Even though I sometimes joke about doing jumping jacks in the bathroom to get them out)
Happy summer days!

I'm Officially Chapped!

I can't get my pictures to post on my blogsite anymore! I don't know what to do! I'm lost! I need to get it fixed before the girls come, but I am not the techy nerd you all might think. Does anyone have any advice?

I have now resorted to playing with a water-game toy to pass time. Yes, it's hours of fun! You know the kind... where you have to push a button to get rings around the posts. Ha! Mine is a hamburger that you have to stack the layers. Thanks, Rebecca!
