The Welcome Wagon

The girls are so excited that we are home now! Sophie is especially attached to me still!

Here they are in their new t-shirts from Cancun - They aren't even corny!

Olivia fell with a pen that she stole off from the table when I was changing Sophie's diaper. Thus the bloody lip.

Best Birthday Gifts Ever!

Well I got one of the best birthday presents ever... Landing at Detroit Airport at 12:03am Monday, March 17th!

They called Brad and Sarah to go on a flight that left at 9:10pm on Sunday night. Don't ask, "Why Brad and Sarah?" I have no clue. But I did learn that if you ask the desk people if you could go instead of a spouse... they bite your head off! Then, they threaten Brad and Sarah to board the plane in 30 seconds or they will give the tickets to someone else!!!

Anywho, so Bill and I had to wait yet again to go on stand-by for the last of 7 flights to Detroit that day (10:05pm). My guts were torn, I had been in the bathroom all day due to nervous guts. Bill and I were praying fervently that we would get called for this last flight. However, I was thinking we would be staying in a hotel that night and flying out in the morning. They called 4 stand-by people before us... I was sweating. Then, they called Fennema! Yes! Wait, what if I am the only one left behind? Minutes seemed like hours... then, Pylman! Bill and I were literally jumping, yelling, and skipping down the skywalk to the plane! Thank you Lord!

We got home 3:00am on Monday morning. I slept into 10:30, and was greeted in bed by my three precious girls! What a great birthday present! Although, then Sophie wouldn't leave my side all day. She had a hard time with my absence - now she has separation anxiety.

We topped off the night with supper at Uccellos. All I can say is "Delicious Free Birthday Strawberry Shortcake Dessert!"

Happy St. Patty's Day! - late

US Airways Rots!

...I wouldn't recommend it! More like "Wait with US."

Well to end a perfectly splendid vacation, we ended up missing our connection flight. The reason? One runway in Cancun (to be expected), Tornadoes in North Carolina, and they put too much fuel on our plane so they had to ask 10 people to get off in Cancun.

When we got to Charlotte, NC we missed our connection by an hour. They had no flights, hotels were booked, food places were closed. We hadn't eaten a meal since breakfast, so Brad and Bill took a taxi to McDonalds. $52 for taxi and value meals (not priceless).

We slept on the floor (a few hours at most) and now we are spending the day traveling from gate to gate only to watch an already overbooked flight take off without us yet again. In addition, today I have a sick stomach and the runs (most likely due to eating McDonalds at 1:00am.

So, we are on stand-by all day with our first real booked flight to leave tomorrow morning at 7:55am. That's right folks! It looks like another night here in North Carolina. Here's hoping I can get home at sometime tomorrow as it is my BIRTHDAY!!! And I miss my Girls!

We're Here!

I can't believe it! We are really here! I think it hit when Sarah and I walked out to the beach for the first time and we both got tears in our eyes. Here are a few pictures of the fun.

Our view from our room

The bathing beauties... or we like to think so!

Ready for a night out

It is a little hard uploading in a foreign country, so I will post more pictures later.

Getting Ready for Spring!

I borrowed an idea from my friend Beth, who also has triplets. I loaded a bowl full of snow and let the girls play with it. They had so much fun!

This is what Sophie and Olivia think the cheap Easter baskets I bought them are for- What weirdos!

Poor Evie

I kept looking at Evie tonight thinking, "She looks like someone." It continued to boggle me.
Then it hit me!

What kind of mom looks at her beautiful girl and thinks "Barf from Spaceballs?"
