Back to School?

I am sitting here watching T.V. and I notice all the back to school ads. It gives me a weird feeling. This is the first year in 22 years that I am not getting ready to go back to school. You see, I was always one of those kids who got excited about buying school supplies. That's probably why I became a teacher! Now I am going to be busy with three baby girls instead of setting up my classroom. Wow! What a change!

Sorry I haven't updated my blog in awhile. I haven't been feeling the greatest this week. I think it might be all the weight I'm carrying : )

Stacey,
Your almost there! I wanted to write you to let you know that I've enjoyed looking at your blog. I pull it up everyday just waiting for an update. And soon, I'll see an update from either Brad or a family member letting us know the girls have arrived (or I'll hear it from you dad when I'm calling in prescriptions). I can't wait. I will continue to keep you in the prayers.

Stacey,
Just think - when you get home you can set up a "special" classroom just for April, May & June or (May June & August) and have fun with that.!! I can't say that I enjoyed going back to school at all- I hated school, but I'm glad you liked it and I know you will enjoy and be a great teacher for the girls.

(sang actually) "Back to school, back to school, so dad will think, I'm no fool" Ha,Ha,Ha,Ha,SHUT UP!

Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points.

Stacey, what are you doing? Now your mother will have to go shopping for school supplies, clothes for school, lunch boxes, etc, etc, for THREE girls! We will need triple Trip coupons. (Can I color with their crayons?)

poindexter! yeah, you liked school supplies alright, I remember you taking some from Lippert Pharmacy---using the 5- finger discount.

I'll bring you a trapper keeper next time I visit.

All I remember is that Lipperts had stale candy corn and I had to pay for it.

Hi Stacy,
This site is so interesting. I check it daily. Hang in there - we're praying for your patience and your weighty situation. I can't believe they're not coming out. You must be too cozy for them not to budge.
Love cousin Lori :)

Oh Stacey! I can totally relate to the not going back to school thing! When I left Vista to work for church (which was a really good move, by the way) I actually went through withdrawl/depression when the school year hit. It was really weird!

You won't have to worry about that though! You'll be to busy with your little ones to even miss it!

I'm sure your kids at school will miss you though!

Hang in there girl! Just a few more days!

Notice how I said "to busy to notice" instead of "too busy to notice". I've been out of the school loop so long, I can't even use correct grammar! Forgive me!

Stacey,
Those are truly feelings only we as teachers can understand. I was there with those feelings this time last year. Being in a back brace I think added to the sadness of it all. This year... I am laughing at all the teachers in Debby and Company while I do jumping jacks and cartwheels with my own children in the backyard. So, never fear, this too shall pass. And then in 10 years we will all be ready to get back into the classroom just in time to teach our former students kids. OK...maybe not.

Correction... that should be students' kids, with an "s" apostrophe. That was to make Sonny feel good!
