The girls were excited about wearing red, white & blue. They were excited about going to the cottage. They were excited about saying "The 4th of July!"..... but!.... they were NOT so excited about the impending noise of Papa's fireworks. They were nervous about how loud they would be. This would be the first time they would stay up and watch the show. I was a bit nervous as to how it would all go as well.... Olivia doesn't even like the noise of the lawn mower!
Throwing "Snaps" on the ground... Oooo! This is fun! We don't mind this noise!
Throwing them at Papa's feet is a riot!
Ice cream with friend Will
Sophie waits for the show to begin
Will gives Evie a lap dance???? Actually he is trying to convince her to do sparklers with him I think :)
Our friends light off a lantern before the fireworks show
The whole lake lets off the lanterns at 10p.
The fireworks begin... And Sophie watches them in Grandmas lap - with earplugs :) She loved them!
Even Olivia who ran upstairs in the cottage as soon as the fireworks started, ended up coming down with her daddy. She watched the fireworks on my lap - no earplugs - and loved them!!!! I was shocked!
They were tired kiddos on the way home :)

Silver Lake Weekend
The girls ask all year long... "When can we go to Grandma Nizer's beach?" They were so excited when we told them we were going for the weekend. However, they soon complained of the looooong drive ;)
Evie & Rylee became tubing buddies. They were the brave ones that wanted to do stuff.
A campfire - The girls cozy up with cousin Ella
It was the girls first experience with Doughies or Dough-boys. They are biscuits or crescent rolls with vanilla pudding inside and chocolate frosting on top... Mmmmmmmmmm
Mallow Mouths
Olivia Kay and her beautiful poses
Daddy & Papa Nizer lighting off a lantern... did it fly or did it float??? We will leave that up to your imagination :)

Swimming Lessons & Sports Camp!
A week of swimming lessons in the morning and sports camp at church at night makes 3 tired girls!!!!! But - They had a blast!
We did swimming lessons at the area high school pool over the winter, but I just didn't feel they challenged or pushed the girls enough. So when a friend called me to join in on some private lessons for a week in her mom's pool I jumped at the chance!
Olivia, however, wasn't so sure about it! She actually is a great swimmer, but she is terrified of putting her face underwater! She cried almost every day, and you should have heard her negotiate, manipulate, yell, and then convince herself she could do it. She would call out to me and I just kept telling her "No Olivia, you can do this!" Then Olivia would yell, "Ok! Ok! Ok!" and off she would go and do what the swimming instructor would ask.... until the next challenge ;)
Sophie waiting for her turn
Evie waiting for her turn
Oh look! Olivia CAN swim underwater by herself!!! What do you know? We all knew she could... She is such a drama queen ;)
Practicing her jumps - she was jumping sideways to get to the ladder faster! She had to redo that one!
My big girl was swimming all the way across the deep end of the pool by herself and taking one breath in the middle by the end of the week. She caught right up to her sisters :)
Time for their turn! These two LOVE swimming lessons! They can't wait to go under water! Little fishes they are :)
Miss Anna reminding Evie to use big arms when swimming
Sophie & Miss Anna
Sophie practices floating on her back. She was most unsure about this. Her little legs just couldn't stay still! She kept kicking!
Evie practices her jumps in and swimming back
Sophie's jumps in always look like she walks right in! :)
Check out that form! Evie has wonderful big arm strokes when she swims already at 4 & 1/2 years! :)
Is that Supergirl?
Evie swims across the deep end of the pool. Miss Anna says she does a fabulous job of taking breaths while swimming.
Sophie stands like such a girl :)
So cute!
Sophie's walking on water again! Amazing!
Look at that big arm scoop - good job Soph!
I'm so proud of my girls! They learned a ton in one week, and they continue to challenge themselves in the water at the lake now! Olivia is swimming underwater like crazy without any crying now! Yay!!!!!!
